Development/ Construction Project Manager

Trimark Properties, a Gainesville-based real estate developer and property manager, is
seeking a Project Manager to join our company’s Construction & Development team. Our team
approaches construction projects through two distinct delivery methods. In the first, we act as
the developer-builder, managing the design process and subcontracting the work. In the
second, we manage the design process but engage a general contractor/construction
manager to oversee construction on our behalf.

This position needs an individual who can work in both project delivery approaches, either
directly managing subcontractors and suppliers, including bidding/buy-out, scheduling,
project accounting, RFIs, submittals, etc. or in an owner’s representative capacity, managing /
overseeing the general contractor/ construction managers when construction is outsourced.
This position will work closely with the Director of Construction and Development as well as
the ownership and other directors, translating vision into reality.

Essential Functions:
Manage consultants, including architects, engineers, general contractors / construction
managers, and/or subcontractors / suppliers.
Help develop and manage schedules from a project’s inception through procurement,
construction, and tenant occupancy.
Manage project-related accounting, review applications for payment, change order proposals,
etc., and provide recommendations for approval.

Required Skills/Qualifications:
3+ years in the construction industry, either working with, or as a design professional, as an
owner’s representative, or as a project manager for a commercial construction contractor.
Established relationship with Gainesville-area subcontractors, suppliers, and building officials
is preferred;
Bachelor’s degree in building construction or architecture preferred.
Strong organization/prioritization skills;
Proven ability to consistently meet goals;
Ability to work well with others, internal and external to the organization;
Ability to self-manage;
Professional, upscale appearance;
High level of demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy;
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal;
